BÉATRICE GRAAS

Her work, combining assemblage, collage, painting, and printmaking, explores contemporary themes such as ecology, the philosophy of life, and the relationships between humans and animals. With a touch of humor and poetry, she recounts a world in motion, without dramatization.
Her works evoke a personal diary, imbued with childhood memories. She incorporates speech bubbles that give voice to the characters and highlights her canvases with words in French or English, sometimes partially erased.
Playing with dense colors, graffiti, and collage, she combines painting and printing, drawing on her experience in printmaking. This fusion of canvas and plexiglass creates a unique dialogue. Her world exudes a positive energy and celebrates a spontaneous beauty, revealed by imperfections.
